LedgerForge

The calm bill tracker for households — built around one number: what's actually safe to spend right now without missing a bill.

The challengeEvery household has one person who owns the bills.

They're organized enough to worry about money and busy enough to still get surprised by it. The bills are scattered across five apps plus autopay they half-remember setting up, a due date slips, and there's a late fee on money that was sitting right there in the account. The spreadsheet built in January is dead by March.

The tools on offer all answer a different question. Envelope-method budgeting apps demand a system and feel like homework. Full financial cockpits are overkill — and pricier — for someone who just doesn't want to miss a bill. The best-designed option is Apple-only. Nobody was simply answering: how much of this is really mine to spend this week?

What we builtOne number, at the top of the screen.

DerMar designed and built LedgerForge around Safe to Spend — the balance minus everything due before the next payday. It's the first thing on the dashboard, beside what's overdue, what's due this week, and the projected balance after the bills still to come. No categorizing homework required to get an answer.

Underneath it: recurring bills that create themselves when they come due, an autopay-aware reminder engine that emails and texts ahead of a due date, a 90-day cash-flow forecast, a subscribable bill calendar, and household sharing with per-bill splitting so a partner sees the same picture. Free to start, and it installs on any phone.

Inside the build

Simple on the surface. Not simplistic underneath.

Safe-to-Spend dashboard

Balance minus what's due before payday, with overdue and due-this-week alongside it.

Recurring bills

Set rent, utilities and subscriptions once — each bill generates itself when it comes due.

Autopay-aware reminders

Email and SMS digests before a due date, and again if something slips past it.

90-day forecast

Bills and income projected forward into a balance curve you can read in a glance.

Household sharing & splits

Invite a partner with their own role, and split any bill evenly or by exact amounts.

Bill calendar & install

Subscribe to your due dates in any calendar app, and install the whole thing on your phone.

Not every product needs more features to be worth paying for. LedgerForge answers one question precisely — and that's why people keep opening it.
