The challengeEstimating paid for in windshield time.

Exterior-trade estimating still runs on driving. A sealcoating, paving or fencing owner-operator answers a lead by driving out, walking the surface with a measuring wheel, driving back, and writing the quote up that night. Most of those round trips lose the job — so the trade absorbs the cost of measuring work it will never do. On a commercial lot it gets worse: the surface gets eyeballed or wheeled in live traffic, and a bad number is either a job priced under cost or a bid handed to the competition.

Speed compounds it. The first credible quote in the inbox has a structural advantage, and a drive-out schedule can't produce same-hour quotes. The tools that solved this exist, but they're trade-locked and priced for volume shops — roofing-first or landscaping-first — and none of them serve a one-truck operator who works three trades and needs them all on one screen.

What we builtOne measurement engine, six trades of math.

DerMar built AerialBid as a takeoff tool on top of satellite imagery: search the address, click-trace the surface, and get square feet and linear feet. That single measurement then feeds six trade calculators, each with its own editable rates and line items — roofing applies a pitch multiplier and bills by squares, fencing bills the traced perimeter by the foot, solar divides the measured roof area into panels.

Real sites are messy, so it handles messy: multiple polygons for split surfaces, subtract-mode cutouts for islands and buildings, manual dimensions for anything invisible from above, and an embedded street-level panorama for condition. Then it closes the loop — a branded PDF and a tokenized quote page the customer opens and accepts with a typed signature, timestamped and impossible to overwrite.

Inside the build

From address to signed quote, in one sitting.

Satellite measurement

Click-trace polygons and lines on high-resolution imagery for square footage and linear footage.

Cutouts & multi-polygon

Subtract islands and buildings, cover split surfaces, and type in whatever can't be traced.

Per-trade calculators

Each trade brings its own rates, mobilization fee and job minimum — roof pitch included.

Online quote acceptance

A private quote link the customer reviews and signs; the acceptance is recorded and permanent.

White-label branding

Each account's logo and accent color carry through the quote page and the PDF.

Street-level condition check

An embedded ground-level panorama for the things satellite imagery can't show you.
