RemediDocs

Field documentation for mold, water-damage and radon contractors — built so the compliance report writes itself while the job gets done.

The challengeThe paperwork outweighed the shop.

A single mold or water job has to produce a defensible paper trail — moisture readings per room and material, labeled photos, containment and equipment records — because IICRC S500/S520 protocols, insurance adjusters and state auditors each want it in their own format. In practice that trail lived on paper forms, phone notes and a camera roll, then got reassembled into a report at the kitchen table at night.

Thin documentation isn't a clerical problem — it's why claims get reduced. Yet the platforms that handle drying logs well are water-first, ignore radon entirely, and start around $250–$500/mo with per-seat pricing on top. A three-truck operation was priced out of the exact tooling that protects its claims.

What we builtThe report as a byproduct, not a second job.

DerMar designed and built RemediDocs from scratch around one idea: compliance documents should fall out of doing the work. Jobs are modeled as property → job → phase, with readings, photos, equipment and drying logs attached as the crew goes — and seven report types, including an ANSI/AARST radon compliance report, generated straight from that captured data.

It's built for the field, not the office. An offline write queue means readings taken in a basement dead zone save locally and sync on reconnect. A real psychrometric engine does the dew-point and grains-per-pound math. And QuickBooks and Xactimate exports mean a small shop doesn't need a second system to bill from.

Inside the build

Compliance work, captured where it happens.

Radon compliance module

Pre/post pCi/L readings, a full mitigation-system log, and a one-tap ANSI/AARST SGM-SF report.

Drying engine & psychrometrics

Equipment placement and removal logs, real dew-point and grains-per-pound math, daily drying reports.

Seven report types

Remediation reports, clearance certificates, authorizations and scopes of work — all from captured data.

AI meter OCR

Photograph a moisture or radon meter and the reading is read straight into the log.

Offline-first install

Installs like an app, keeps working in basements and crawlspaces, then syncs what it queued.

Invoicing & exports

Line-item invoices plus QuickBooks-ready and Xactimate-formatted CSV exports.

The incumbents were built water-first and billed per seat. We built the version a three-truck shop can actually run — three trades, one app, in production today.
